Damian Gosling, the founder of Southern Services, worked in the tarmac industry since leaving school, going on to start his own business in 1982 before establishing Southern Services in 1991. Today, the company remains a proud family-run business, built on Damian’s values and vision.
Southern Services has since developed into a respected company with a good reputation for its high standard of work both in the private and commercial sector.
Our History
All of our Operatives have worked for Southern Services for many years, they are all fully qualified and trained to a high standard, they are all courteous, polite and take pride in their work, they work in a professional manner to ensure work is carried out to the highest standard with minimum disruption.
For the last 35 years our company has been one of the main contractors working for the local authorities, Dorset County Council, Poole Borough Council and Bournemouth Borough Council. The local authorities have a rigorous quality controlled selection process taking into account Health and Safety measures, Quality Control , Environmental factors and Quality of Work, to ensure they only allocate company’s that are completely trustworthy and with very high standards to carry out work on their behalf. It is rare for driveway contractors to have this accolade.
What We Do
Our work for the local authorities includes installing driveways, drop crossings and kerbs, repairs to the carriageway and footway, installing signs, drainage works, fencing, hard and soft landscaping .
We also work in the private sector install driveways, drop kerbs, patios and fences for domestic properties and commercial properties.
